Sustainability is…
by Henrik Dalin (IBM ”Smarter Planet evangelist”)

- What does sustainability mean for you?

It means that how I act and how I want people, companies and the public sector to act is sustainable. With sustainable I mean not so much environment, even if I like the environment, but that people are happy with the service they get from the public sector and that taxes are used in the most effective way to deliver correct and effective public service. I also like the IBM vision of a Smarter Planet that should be built using technology to save our natural resource or used them more effective and that are cities become safer and less polluting.

Who has not dreamt about saving the world?

Most of us want to do good and make a difference. But everyday life gets in the way making us forget that small things can make a big difference. That’s just what it was like for us at Abob.

The Art of Sustainability: Painting the New Beautiful World

Sometimes words are just not enough to express the beauty and complexity of the world which surrounds us. Sometimes the paintbrush can be much more powerful than lengthy discussions.
